REMEDIATION OF A CHEMICAL SPILL FROM A SEMI TRUCK

A semi truck and trailer carrying a load of magnesium chloride experienced a hitch failure, resulting in a spill which entered the median and subsequently flowed into an adjacent river. JBR provided project oversight and arranged for an excavation sub-contractor to remove the source material, backfill with clean soil, re-seed with native grasses, coordinate with the  landfill, and work with the regulatory agencies to remediate the spill site. The site was re-contoured to meet MDT specifications.
