Drum Mountains and Whirlwind Valley Geothermal Exploration Projects, Delta, UT

Ormat Technologies, Inc. proposed exploration drilling on several of its geothermal leases in the Drum Mountains and Whirlwind Valley areas of Juab and Millard counties in Utah. JBR prepared Operations Plans for submittal to the BLM Fillmore Field Office and conducted baseline field surveys for cultural resources, wildlife habitats, and special status species. JBR then prepared the EA on both of the Operations Plans to analyze the potential impacts on and off-lease of exploration operations including access roads, up to 27 exploration drill pads for temperature gradient, observation and production wells, personnel camps, gravel sources, and water supply wells.
