The Soda Lake property is located approximately six miles northwest of Fallon, Nevada, and has two operating geothermal power plants. Magma wants to explore additional geothermal resources within the vicinity of its existing facilities. JBR conducted field surveys for TES plant and wildlife species, noxious weeds, and general vegetation and wildlife. JBR then used this information to prepare an EA for multiple drill pads and associated access roads. These pads are to be used to drill and test observation wells and drill production wells.
JBR is also under contract to prepare EAs for three other geothermal exploration projects for Magma Energy including the McCoy, Desert Queen, and Panther Canyon projects.
