Our Health & Safety Focus

JBR Hard Hat and Safety VestJBR is committed to safety. We believe it is vital to provide a safe and healthful work environment for our staff. In doing so, we provide a valuable and critical service to our clients. Our commitment extends from our CEO to each and every employee.

At JBR, we believe that every staff member has a responsibility to participate in creating a safe and healthful work environment. This safe work environment extends beyond our staff members to our clients and anyone else involved in the course of our activities. Every member of JBR’s staff is empowered and encouraged to identify and eliminate potential hazards and unsafe work conditions.

JBR’s commitment to safety is built on the foundation of our Health and Safety Program. Our Program has been developed with the intention of meeting, if not exceeding, regulatory and industry Health and Safety standards. Continuous additions, review, and improvement, along with an integrated audit system, are critical components of our Health and Safety practices. We also solicit input from our staff to take advantage of their experience and ideas to make sure the Program continues to suit their needs and the needs of our clients.

Beyond the Program itself, JBR further promotes a culture of safety in the following ways.

  • JBR employs a full-time Corporate Safety Administrator, who provides leadership, guidance, and support to the staff and ensures that JBR is proactive in responding to industry and regulatory changes in Health and Safety.
  • We offer a full suite of in-house training programs for our staff, which can also be adapted for and supplied to our clients.
  • A site-specific Health and Safety Plan is required for all field activities. This Plan includes the following:
    • Performing a complete job hazard analysis to identify all potential safety concerns before beginning project work;
    • Assigning work tasks based on a staff member’s experience and training for both the job tasks and necessary safety practices for those tasks;
    • Ensuring that all necessary safety equipment is available and adequate for the tasks at hand; and
    • Reviewing and adapting the Plan as required when changes occur.
  • Health and safety ideas and concepts are reinforced through ongoing internal activities, such as a monthly Safety, Health, and Wellness newsletter and regularly scheduled safety meetings.

JBR has a highly qualified technical staff that values our safe work environment and possesses many years of experience performing work tasks safely and effectively. We offer our clients this highly qualified and valued service every day.
