JBR Acquires Oregon-based Environmental Management Services, Inc. (EMS)

SANDY, UT-- October 2007 – JBR Environmental Consultants, Inc. announced today that it has acquired Oregon-based Environmental Management Services, Inc. (EMS). The acquisition was officially completed on Friday, September, 28, in Medford, Oregon. The terms of the merger remain confidential. EMS will operate as one of five Divisions of JBR.

“We believe that the combined capabilities of EMS and JBR will benefit the clients and the employees of both organizations,” said Bob Bayer, Managing Principal of JBR. “This merger enables the larger organization to provide clients of both JBR and EMS with enhanced and expanded services over a larger service area."

Founded in 1999, EMS employs 15 people, primarily in Eugene and Medford, Oregon. The firm specializes in providing services including: hydrogeology; site investigation and assessment; remediation services; risk assessment; asbestos and lead-based paint assessment; and pre-demolition site assessments and demolition management. EMS has served clients throughout the United States.
