JBR to sponsor Cultural Resources Planning Summit 2010

JBR Environmental Consultants, Inc. is sponsoring and attending the Cultural Resource Planning Summit June 7-8, 2010. The event theme for this year is "Linking Cultural Resource Protection to Land Use: Understanding the Broader Context." Cultural resource specialists and archaeologists from the Pacific Northwest will be attending this event. One of the Keynote speakers will be Knute Berger.

The sessions will be as follows

  • Update from the Washington State Legislature and the Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP)
  • Federal Partners in Cultural Resource Protection:  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) 
  • Tribal Views on Traditional Cultural Properties (TCPs)
  • Workshop-Development Charrette 
  • Workshop-State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA)
