JBR Environmental Consultants, Inc. Acquires Arizona-based Applied Environmental Consultants, Inc.

SANDY, UT—January 2010: Expanding its air quality service capabilities and its service footprint, JBR Environmental Consultants, Inc. (JBR) announced today that it has acquired Arizona-based Applied Environmental Consultants, Inc. (AEC). The transaction was effective January 1, 2010. The terms remain confidential. AEC will operate as a JBR Company.

“AEC’s strong expertise in permitting, source monitoring, and ambient air quality assessment augment JBR’s existing air quality services, from dispersion modeling to carbon footprint analysis,” said Bob Bayer, JBR’s Managing Principal. “We look forward to providing all of these expanded capabilities and services to our clients.”

The AEC acquisition continues JBR’s growth strategy. In 2007 and 2008, JBR acquired Oregon-based Environmental Management Services and Montana-based Atlatl, both of which now operate under the JBR name. Most recently, in 2009, JBR opened a Seattle, Washington office and a satellite office near Denver, Colorado.
